Hi ya pals ( Mickey Mouse voice)
I’ll start by introducing myself.
My name is Crystal. I am a stay at home mom of 3, fur mommy to 1 (jack-jack) – yes we named our dog after the incredibles 😋 and i am 32 years young.
Growing up, as a kid in the small town of Mission BC, i quickly discovered my love for Disney movies.
I went to Disney for the first time at age 7 with my Aunt and my younger cousin which basically at that time solidified my love with all things Disney.
As a teenager, like most teens, I was caught up with wanting to grow up fast and not acting “immature”. So naturally Disney was thrown on a back burner for the following few years.
At age 21, I had our first baby, our son Nicolas. Nicks favourite movie as a baby/ toddler was toy story and all the Disney magic came running back to me. I remember for his 2nd birthday getting him his 1st Buzz and Woody. I loved watching him play, and talk to them. ( just happens to be one of my fav memories of him as a toddler) it was so magical. Just like that I was a believer again.
Years to follow, and 1 more baby later ( Brooklyn ) we took our first family trip to Disneyland. At this point our kids were ( 6 and 4 ) watching the magic through there eyes was honestly nothing short of a dream coming true. I know that any mom who has taken there kid/kids to Disney can totally vouch for me on this.. the magic started as soon as we walked through the gate. Aurora passed my daughter and whispered “ good morning princess “. There was me, who has a hard time showing emotions, welled with tears in my eyes as I watched the magic gleam off my daughter. The cast members would bow as she trumped through main street in her big poofy Ranupzel dress. Then there was my son, who got to meet his hero’s ( Buzz and Woody) and soak in there huge hugs.
After that we took our first trip as a family of 5, when our youngest (Makayla) was 2 years old. We have taken a trip to Disneyland every year to follow and shared a lot of big moments at the magic kingdom, which I look forward to sharing with you all.
Disney, as cliche as it sounds, literally makes you feel like anything is possible.
That dream can come true . If you dream it, you can do it! This is what I tell my kids all the time.
So.. why did I start this blog? First of all, I feel like being a Canadian, we kind of get the short end of the Disney stick so to speak.. Our dollar right now is not even close to par with the American dollar, we have no Disney parks in Canada 😪 so booking trips to Disney resorts can cost a fortune. I was also getting a lot of dms from friends and family members asking me advice on planning there trips or where to find Disney related items ( which makes me so happy to answer.)
My personal goals with this is to:
◦ share good travel tips, while spending our Canadian dollar.
◦ share new exciting things that are coming up with Disney.
◦ Talk about all the exciting Disney merchandise that you can find locally without breaking the bank. as well as give my review on the products.
◦ Share those special Disney treat recipes and where you can find identical treats locally.
◦ Fun ways you can incorporate all things Disney with your kids, families without actually needing to goto the park.
◦ Share great tips for decorating for holidays and birthdays in Disney style.
◦ And honestly, a place to get people together to just chat, share special experiences and share the Disney magic.
** I also feel the need to state that I am not claiming to be an expert by any means , im just here to share my personal experiences and my love for all things Disney.
Well with that being said, I feel like I’ve given you some great insight to my life and my goals with starting this blog. I look forward to starting this journey with you all. Thank you for reading,
