Hey guys. So I want to start writing reviews for some of the properties we have stayed at while vacationing at Disneyland. Naturally I want to start with my favourite 😍
I want to start off with a few of the reasons I love this hotel so very much.
My first reason- I absolutely love the fact that WALT himself played a part in this hotels process. Although the current property has obviously evolved with time Walt inquired about building the Disneyland hotel in 1954. I know I’ve talked about feeling his presence before, and I probably will again, but you really can feel it here at the hotel. I love how each room has the iconic picture of him walking through the castle on the wall.
Second.. check in was a breeze! We loved walking into the resort to be greeted by chip and dale. My kids spent time with the characters While I got our paperwork sorted and room keys. The cast members working the desk are so friendly ( like they are over in the park) check in was literally under 5minutes.
Third.. The headboard 😍 our kids loved it so much. It plays a short song and stays lit until you turn it off. It was such a cute touch to the room. The beds are so very comfortable as well.
Unlike the other hotels in the Anaheim area, all over the room there are such cute little hidden mickeys and a touch of Disney. I loved those touches but it was especially fun for my kids too see.
The grounds and landscaping walking to the park is so pretty we just loved it. How cute are these Mickey and Minnie trees just outside the main building 😍And how cute is my little “Moana” walking with her dad back to our room after a long day at the park❤️. The landscaping definitely had a tropical vibe to it, it was very refreshing.
Although I have no pictures of it, I can totally vouch for the room service aswell 🍽. We ordered it quite a few times, for breakfast, dinner and once for desert and we loved it each time. My person recommendations would be the broccoli cheese soup and the chocolate cake is a must.
Onsite for character dinning is Goofy’s kitchen. Which we enjoyed for breakfast one morning. I know it can be a little pricey, especially for big families however I completely recommend doing at least one character dining as it was so nice to skip the lines in the park to take pictures with a few of the main guys. It was a major time saver and such a fun experience. Although it is at the end of downtown Disney district we still found everything about this hotel very convenient. The monorail runs right outside of the hotel and can bring you into the park super quick. We used the monorail quite a few times as it helped us skip the huge lines at the main gate. We always find it fun to walk through-out downtown Disney aswell. It sets the vibe for the park. The music is amazing, there are a lot of quick spots to grab food or even those ears you wanted to buy in the park but kept forgetting 😉 so don’t be discouraged about the walk by any means.
One other fun last tip I would love to share are the “Mickey wake up calls”. If you call the front desk and request this, you can have the main man himself, Mickey Mouse, call your room and tell your family to wake up❤️ our kids loved it. It was a perfect way to start the morning off.
I know your probably wondering “what about the pool” the pool looks amazing and it is so geared up for family fun. It’s one of my biggest regrets that we didn’t have enough time to spend one afternoon down relaxing and playing in the pool. Next time I have the opportunity to stay at this resort, you can best believe you will be able to find me at the pool 🍹.
Anyways that’s it for now. I hope you enjoyed this post as much as I did writing it. If you stay here feel free to write me and let me know what you thought of it aswell. Thanks for reading. Until next time 👋❤️
I also want to share this picture of my son, Nicolas, standing in the lobby of the Disneyland Hotel next to the wall photo gallery ❤️The older he gets the more he truly appreciates Walt Disney, so when he asked me to take this picture my heart melted❤️😩
